Porinju’s daughter enters this microcap with 1.3% stake in Q1

Shilpa Porinju Veliyath, daughter of Porinju Veliyath, has entered microcap with a small holding in the June quarter, the latest shareholding data suggests.

TCM, where

owned a 10.60 per cent stake as of June 30, saw Shilpa Porinju Veliyath as a public shareholding with over 1 per cent stake. Shilpa held 1,00,000 shares or a 1.34 per cent stake in the company as of June 30. She was not among public shareholders of the company in the past, with over a per cent stake.

TCM manufactures Potassium Chlorate – a vital raw material for the match Industry. Over time, the company diversified into several chemicals and established factories at Kalamassery in Kerala.

The company’s product range includes Copper Sulphate, Copper Oxychloride and its formulations, Strontium Nitrate, Strontium Carbonate and Sodium Sulphide, as per Ace Equity.

The scrip has rallied 39 per cent in the last one month and is down 2 per cent in 2022 so far.

Porinju is the Founder & MD at Equity Intelligence. Trendlyne data suggests he held 18 stocks, as per the latest shareholdings. He stayed put on

(1 per cent stake), Kaya (1.5 per cent stake), (1.2 per cent stake), Kerala Ayurveda (2.4 per cent), Cupid (1.3 per cent), and (4.9 per cent) in the June quarter. Shareholding patterns of his other portfolio holdings for the June

quarter are yet to be out.
