Poco: Poco F5 series to launch in India tomorrow: What we know so far – Times of India

The Poco F5 series will make its global debut tomorrow (May 9). The series will comprise the two models, namely– Poco F5 5G and Poco F5 Pro. With this, the company will expand its F-series smartphone lineup.
While the company did confirm a handful of specifications of the smartphones ahead of the launch, the devices have been a part of the rumour mill for quite some time. The Poco F5 series launch event has been scheduled to begin from 5:30 PM onwards. Interested viewers can live stream the event on the company’s YouTube channel.

Poco F5: Confirmed specifications
Poco F5 will come powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset. The Snapdragon India handle on Twitter confirmed that the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 will power the Poco F5.
According to Poco, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is the most powerful Snapdragon 7-series chipset. It is based on the 4nm process node of TSMC, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, the 7+ Gen 2 is said to offer 50 per cent higher performance, 13 per cent improvement in power efficiency, and double the AI performance of its predecessor – the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. Additionally, the chipset will enable support for WiFi 6E on the smartphone.
Poco F5 Pro: Expected specs
As per rumours, Poco F5 Pro will be a rebranded version of the Redmi K60. Therefore, the smartphone could come powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, similar to the Redmi K60. It is expected that the smartphone would pack up to 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage.
Further, the camera setup could include a 64MP primary sensor, paired with an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, the smartphone might have a 16MP sensor housed inside the punch-hole cutout.
Poco F5 Pro 5G is expected to house a triple rear camera setup comprising a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, the smartphone could feature a 16MP camera placed inside the punch-hole cutout.
Poco F5 Pro might boast a 5500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
