Poco is set to expand its F4 series with a new smartphone — the Poco F4 5G. In April, the Chinese phone maker announced the Poco F4 GT which is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The company hasn’t yet revealed the spec sheet of the upcoming device. However, Poco India has shared a tweet from its official Twitter account that has confirmed the chipset that will power the handset. According to the Poco India tweet, the Poco F4 5G smartphone will feature the Snapdragon 870 SoC. The company is expected to reveal more details about the upcoming phone before its launch.

The upcoming device might also sport a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display that is likely to support a 120Hz refresh rate. Some images of the rumoured Poco F4 5G device were also leaked and the smartphone was also spotted on Geekbench which confirmed the phone’s 8GB RAM.
The Poco F4 5G is expected to be a rehashed version of the Redmi K40S and the only difference between the two phones will be the primary camera. The upcoming device may feature a triple-rear camera setup that will include a 64MP main camera with OIS support, instead of the 48MP primary sensor present in the Redmi device. The smartphone’s display may also house a 20MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
The upcoming handset may include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers and a 4500 mAh battery unit with 67W fast charging support. According to the Geekbench listing, the smartphone is expected to run on Android 12.
