Pixel: Google Pixel 7a launched with Tensor G2 chip in India: Price, features and more – Times of India

At its I/O 2023 event, Google has unveiled Pixel 7a — its latest and most affordable — smartphone in India. Pixel 7a comes powered with Google’s own Tensor G2 Chip and the Titan M2 Security chip.


Price, offers and availability

The Pixel 7a will be available in India at a launch price of Rs 39,999. Do note that this is the launch price and includes a few offers. The MRP of Pixel 7a is Rs 43,999. The smartphone is already available on Flipkart. There is an instant discount of Rs 4,000 on HDFC Bank cards with no-cost EMI available. Further, there is Rs 4,000 off in exchange for any Pixel device and other select smartphone models.
Pixel 7a is available in three colours — Charcoal, Snow, and Sea. Users can also get Fitbit Inspire 2 at Rs 3,999 and Pixel Buds A-Series at Rs 3,999 when either is purchased along with the Pixel 7a. Google is also offering free screen damage protection for one year.
Pixel 7a: Key features
The Pixel 7a features a 6.1-inch display and a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone comes with IP67 dust and water protection.
As always the highlight of the Pixel 7a is the camera setup. This is the first Pixel smartphone to come with a 64MP camera. Google has also introduced a new 13MP ultra-wide lens. The phone’s main upgraded camera features a 72% larger sensor than Pixel 6a. In terms of camera features, users get Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur features. Google also claims that Night Sight is also twice as fast compared to the Pixel 6a.
Users will be able to capture 4K video with the new 13-megapixel front camera. Pixel 7a also has the Long Exposure feature, which can capture texture and energy in shots of things like waterfalls. In terms of zoom capabilities, Pixel 7a includes Super Res Zoom up to 8x.
Google Pixel 7a comes with wireless charging and an IP67 rating for dust and water protection.
