How to copy your data from Android device to Pixel 7 phones
If you have already purchased either of the Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro, you must be preparing to transfer your valuable data from your old Android smartphone to the new Google phone. Here is a step-by-step guide to transfer data via cable and over Wi-Fi.

  • Charge both your older Android phone and the Pixel 7 series handset and update all the apps on your current device.
  • Power up your phone, tap “Get Started” and set up your phone by following the instructions.
  • Insert your SIM card in the new phone.
  • Connect both the smartphones via a cable that you use to charge your older handset. You can use the Quick Switch Adapter in the Pixel 7 box to connect your smartphones if the cable you use has a USB-A connector on one end.
  • Soon you will be prompted with a message asking you to copy data from your old phone to the new handset.
  • Go ahead with it and Google will show the size of your data that will be copied. You can transfer data like texts, photos, music, contacts, calendars, and apps.
  • Once you have decided what all you want to copy, tap “Next” and you will get an estimated time needed to transfer the data you chose.
  • Make sure you also backup WhatsApp messages otherwise you’ll lose the most recent data. The Meta-owned instant messaging platform backs up your data at 2.00 am everyday.
  • If you are using a Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro, you can quickly transfer data over Wi-Fi.
  • You can also transfer your data from any other Android phone to Pixel 7 phone over Wi-Fi but it will take more time as compared to the wired option.
