Parrott Captures Individual NAIA Women’s Golf Championship

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Campbellsville’s (Ky.) Gracie Parrott captured the 2021 NAIA Women’s Golf Individual Championship on Friday at Rose Creek Golf Course.
Parrott becomes the first Mid-South Conference women’s golfer to win the NAIA Individual National Championship since 2016. She finished the final round with a 2-under par 70 while finishing the championship with a 1-under par 287 (69-73-75-70). Parrott began the final round two shots behind. She started her round with four-consecutive pars before making a birdie on the fifth hole. Following a bogey on the sixth hole, Parrott carded four-straight pars. She closed out the round recording two birdies and six pars.
Cumberlands (Ky.) finished tied for 13th with a four-round score of 1230 (303-307-315-305). Carlee Shoemaker carded the best round for the Patriots finishing with a 2-under par 70. Shoemaker finished the championship tied for 16th with an 11-over 299. Lucia Pena and Viviane Braun each shot a 77. Sharon Holczer and Hannah Griffith recorded an 81 and 82 in the final round, respectively.
Lindsey Wilson finished 17th with a 1251. Malene Clausen recorded the best score for the Blue Raiders in the round with a 74. Megan Mann shot a 76, Katie Biddlecome recorded an 80, Zofia Wojcik shot an 82 and Hannah Sumner carded an 84.
Keiser (Fla.) won the team title with a 32-over par score of 1184. Taylor (Ind.) finished runner-up with a 1203 and Southeastern (Fla.) was third with a 1204.
