Smartphone brand Oppo has teased a smartphone launch on October 1. The company will launch a new handset under its A-series. Online commerce platform Amazon has created a microsite of the upcoming device. While it does not reveal the name of the smartphone, it says that the phone will be equipped with ‘a balance of sleekness and smartness’.

According to rumours, the handset could be Oppo A55. The smartphone will succeed last year’s Oppo device. The Amazon listing suggests that the phone will be available on the e-tailer’s site.

Oppo A55 is rumoured to come with a dual-camera setup on the back. It may offer a 50MP primary rear camera. The phone will come with a waterdrop style notch at the front, housing the selfie camera.

The handset is expected to feature a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution. Oppo A55 may come powered by Helio P35 chipset. It may pack 4GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage.

The device will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery. It may come with 18-watt fast charging support. For security, the phone may have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Meanwhile, the company has announced to launch of Oppo F19s in India on September 27. The upcoming smartphone is teased to pack a 5,000mAh battery. It will come with a 33watt Flash Charge support. Oppo F19s is touted to be the slimmest phone with a 5000mAh battery capacity. It will be offered in two colour options — Glowing Black and Glowing Gold.
