OPPO Reno 9 Pro+ expected specifications leaked ahead of the November launch | Digit

According to recent reports, the Chinese tech manufacturer OPPO is set to launch its next-gen Reno 9 series in the Chinese market in November. However, ahead of the official announcement by the company about the launch date, a verified tipster, Digital Chat Station (via. TechGoing), leaked certain specifications of the upcoming smartphone without revealing the model’s name. However, Chinese media suspects that DCS revealed the specs of 9 Pro+. 

OPPO Reno 9 Pro+ rumoured specifications:

The purported Reno 9 Pro+ would feature a 6.7-inch OLED Full HD+ display with 2,400 x 1080 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel would have a curved edge, punch-hole, narrow bezels, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 would power the smartphone.

On the camera front, the leak states that the smartphone comes with a 50-megapixel primary camera with a 1.56-inch Sony IMX890-series rear camera sensor. A 32-megapixel rear camera for the front camera. The device will provide top-notch photos in low-light conditions as it packs an NPU unit. The device would pack a 4,700mAh battery and support 80W fast charging. A distinguishing feature not commonly present in OPPO phones is an IR blaster and a metallic middle frame. 

According to other reports, OPPO is also working on a few more SD8+G1 chipset smartphones. It will be introduced in the Find N2 foldable phone and the Find N flip phone next month (December). In addition, the Find X6 should have the same chip when it comes out in Q1 2023. 

Other specifications of the Reno 9 Pro+ 5G are currently unknown. However, interested users must wait for the company’s official announcement to confirm the launch date and specifications of the upcoming model. Once the Reno 9 series launches, it will compete against the forthcoming OnePlus 11, the iQOO 11, and other budget flagship smartphones launching at the end of 2022 and early 2023.
