OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ camera specifications, features revealed ahead of India launch
OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ camera specifications
OPPO in a press release talked about the Reno 10 Pro+’s camera prowess, its periscope telephoto periscope design in particular. It’s a 64MP telephoto camera which is said to be the highest megapixel telephoto camera in the industry. With a 1/2-inch image sensor, you get 3x optical zoom support with OIS, and 120x hybrid zoom as well.
The periscope camera module on the Reno 10 Pro+ is 0.96mm thinner than other devices, OPPO said in the release. It highlighted this because periscope lens that are stacked on top of each other usually create a large camera bump. On the Reno 10 Pro+, the stacked lens and the sensor are turned sideways.
OPPO also shared camera samples taken with the telephoto lens and with 3x optical zoom. Here, OPPO says that in outdoor settings, “The telephoto lens compresses the gap between the portrait subject and distant elements in a scene—monuments, buildings, and mountains—to create dramatic but well-composed portraits.”
The camera samples were shared by OPPO, so it isn’t possible to judge how the Reno 10 Pro+’s camera actually performs. We’ll get to give a detailed experience in our review.
In total, there’s a triple camera setup at the rear panel which include a 50MP primary sensor with the Sony IMX890 sensor and a 1/1.56-inch sensor, and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide angle camera with a 1/4-inch sensor. For selfies, there’s a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor with AF.
This camera setup is the same on the Reno 10 Pro+ and the Reno 10 Pro. The Reno 10 Pro also comes with a telephoto lens but its megapixel count hasn’t been revealed yet. In China, the Reno 10 Pro has a 32MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.
