Only verified users’ tweets will now be recommended on Twitter, no polls for non-Blue users

On Twitter, Musk wrote that only tweets from verified accounts would be shown in the “For You” tab. This timeline shows Tweets from Twitter accounts that a user has chosen to follow. The user might see suggested content that is based on a number of different signals. From “For you,” one can reply to, retweet, or like a Tweet.

In the same tweet, he also stated that accounts that don’t have Twitter Blue wouldn’t be able to vote in polls anymore.

According to the Twitter chief, this is the “only practical approach” that can be taken to stop advanced AI bot swarms from taking over. He mentioned that these changes would happen  April 15th onwards.

Twitter Blue subscription features, price in India

The Twitter Blue subscription includes new features such as the Blue tick, the ability to upload lengthier video posts, edit tweets, personalised app icons, organised bookmarks, and utilise NFT as a profile photo.

In India, a Twitter Blue subscription costs Rs 650 for users who access the platform through the Twitter website. Subscribers using the Android or iOS app would have to pay Rs 900 monthly.

Twitter legacy checkmarks in danger

Recently, the micro-blogging site stated that they would begin winding down their legacy verified programme and removing legacy verified checkmarks on April 1st. They sent out an invitation to users with blue checkmarks, warning them that they would lose their badge if they did not sign up for Twitter Blue.
