Alongside the OnePlus 10T, OnePlus announced Oxygen OS 13 at an event in New York. OxygenOS 13 brings an all-new look and a host of features to refine the user experience. OnePlus will roll out OxygenOS 13 soon but hasn’t given any official date as of now.
OxygenOS 13: Key features
In terms of design, OxygenOS 13 has opted for a minimalistic look. OnePlus calls it the Aquamorphic Design. The app icons and widgets will have more rounded corners than we have seen on Oxygen OS 12. The design is also visible in the text fonts and overall UI.
There’s an all-new AI Booster system which will enable the phones to manage memory storage in an optimum manner. The performance, OnePlus said, will not get affected even if the phone is consuming more memory.
A new media player widget is being added to the Always-On Display with OxygenOS 13. For those who order food from Zomato or Swiggy, there will be a new widget for live tracking of deliveries.
OxygenOS 13 also brings the Spatial Audio feature to OnePlus phones. Though this feature will be available on phones that support the required hardware. Nearby Share will also come to OnePlus phones with OxygenOS 13.
In terms of privacy and safety, OxygenOS 13 will also bring Privacy Safe 2.0, a file safe meant to keep data and information secure.
