OnePlus 9RT was launched in China last month (October 2021) and as per an alleged listing on Google Supported Devices List, the smartphone will be launched in India as OnePlus RT. The device is the successor of the company’s most affordable OnePlus 9 series phone, OnePlus 9R, launched in April this year. Though OnePlus has not revealed any plans to launch the smartphone in India yet, a tweet by tipster Max Jambor claims that the device will be launched in the country on December 16. The tipster revealed the date in a reply to an Indian blogger’s tweet.
Also, while the smartphone may reportedly launch with a different name, it is expected to carry the same design and specs as seen in its Chinese counterpart. The handset was also spotted on the BIS certification website recently, hinting at the imminent India launch. Similarly, the fact that India is one of the most-significant markets for OnePlus also increases the chances of the company launching the phone in the country.
