OnePlus focusses on affordable segment, teases Y1S, Y1S Edge smart TVs in India – Times of India

OnePlus is gearing up to expand its TV portfolio in India. The company, on Friday, teased the launch of its new Y1S series TV line-up. The new line-up will include two TV models — OnePlus TV Y1S and OnePlus TV Y1S Edge.
The company hasn’t revealed any official timeline for the launch date. However, we have a confirmation that it will be announced soon via an online event.
The company has also confirmed that the new TVs will bring more “accessible connected ecosystem experience” across different screen sizes at an affordable price point.
The new TVs from the company are expected to feature bezel-less design, improved audio and enhanced connectivity options.
OnePlus hasn’t revealed any other details about the upcoming smart TVs. Leaks, however, suggest the TVs will be available in 32-inch and 43-inch screen size. Also, they will come with 20W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio support.
OnePlus is also expected to offer dual-band Wi-Fi support on these TVs.
As far as pricing is concerned, the OnePlus Y series TVs belong to the affordable price segment and we can expect to see aggressive pricing from the company.
For those unaware, the company currently has three segments — the OnePlus TV Q series is their flagship smart TV models, which offer top-end features, specifications, connectivity and design. The U-series TVs, however, offer a good balance between price and features. The Y-series, as mentioned, is the affordable line-up.
