OnePlus Ace 2 Pro display’s water resistance compared with iPhone 14 Pro in new official video
OnePlus Ace 2 Pro Rainwater Touch Control
- As the name suggests, ‘Rainwater Touch Control’ basically prevents the phone from being unusable when there’s on it.
- OnePlus shows this off by comparing the Ace 2 Pro with the Apple iPhone 14 Pro. In the video the two phones are placed under the rain.
- Here, they try to unlock both the phones but only the Ace 2 Pro unlocks, and that too on the first try. The iPhone 14 Pro, however, doesn’t respond as the screen is filled with water.
- The two phones were tested in a foggy condition as well. The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro again turns out to work properly, while the iPhone 14 struggles to function smoothly.
The tests were conducted by OnePlus so the results would be favourable to them but it still says a lot about the Ace 2 Pro’s display technology. To achieve this, OnePlus has added a custom chip, and three new core touch algorithms for the Ace 2 Pro’s display. These together are designed to make the phone’s screen usable even in wet conditions.
