Even if 2021 posed challenges, one can hope, dream and expect 2022 brings a new lease of life. While the situation is sad with new restrictions being announced every other day, we take a look at New Year Eve plans of celebs and what they wish for the New Year.

Honest prayers

I am in Dubai with family and friends. I hope and pray that 2022 will bring peace and good health to the world. I pray for the well-being of the world at large. My heart goes out to those who lost their family members. — Bhumika Chawla, Actress

Behave responsibly

I am going to be in Mumbai for New Year’s Eve with all the travelling restrictions and stuff. I don’t want to take a chance. I feel everyone should behave responsibly keeping in mind the current scenario. I am hoping 2022 brings an amazing offer for me.  — Arslan Goni, Actor

Family time

I am celebrating New Year’s Eve with my family this time after a month of promotions for 83. My mom and dad have come from Chandigarh to live with me in Mumbai. We are going to cook a special dinner like Indian households. We will just watch some TV shows. My hope is that we get more patient and persistent. — Sahil Khattar, Actor

Looking forward

Last year was like a dream, work-wise, and I am hoping to continue the same way and build up on that in 2022. I look forward to new roles, especially Code M Season 2. I am in Ooty, but going to Bengaluru to be with my mom, dad and close friends. — Tanuj Virwani, Actor

No party

I am not much of a party person, so will be home on New Year Eve. My hope is that Covid abates. Also, that we are kind and compassionate towards nature and wildlife so as our next generation—has access to clean air. — Pankaj Tripathi, Actor

Peace to all

I travelled for Christmas so for New Year Eve, I am going to be with my family. I am going to be at home with my son and welcome 2022. I hope for a better 2022 for everyone—less obstacles, more clarity, more focus, things opening up and, of course, holding on to the learning from the last two years. My mantra would be—less is more, keep everything clean and minimal, work harder, let’s overcome our challenges and enjoy everything we do; most of all, peace to all. — Tusshar Kapoor, Actor
