Now, transfer your Netflix profile to an existing account

What is the Netflix Profile Transfer feature?

• Launched last year, this Netflix feature allows its members and those who use the member’s account to transfer a profile to either a new or existing account.
• This includes transferring recommendations, viewing history, My List, game saves, settings, and other related information. The account you have includes the profile transfer feature.
• To disable profile transfers on your account, you have the option to opt out of this feature, the company said in a blog post.

Here’s how you can transfer a Netflix profile

• Select “Profile Transfer” after clicking on the Profile icon.
• Choose the option “An Existing Account” to transfer your profile.
• Enter the email address and password of the account you want to transfer your profile.
• A notification will be sent via email to the account owner, informing them that a profile has been transferred to their account.

A Netflix profile can be transferred as long as it meets the following criteria:

• The user’s account is currently active.
• The user’s profile is not a Kids’ profile.
• If the device is protected by a PIN, please remove the PIN before initiating the transfer.
• The account does not have an email address associated with its profile.

Netflix initially introduced this feature while tightening its measures against password sharing. By implementing this change, Netflix is responding to user feedback and making it easier for members to manage their profiles without the need for starting afresh.
