The company took to Twitter to confirm some more details about its yet-to-launch smartphone — Nothing Phone (2). The company has confirmed that the smartphone will get three years of Android OS updates and 4 years of security updates. Along with this, the company has also managed to achieve a lower carbon footprint on the Nothing Phone (2). The Phone (2) has an SGS-certified carbon footprint of 53.45kg which is 5kg lower than the Nothing Phone (1).
The smartphone maker has also confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2) will house a 6.7-inch display which is slightly bigger than its predecessor. The smartphone is rumoured to come with an AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The company has also increased the battery capacity of the Nothing Phone (2). The smartphone is said to pack a 4,700 mAh battery. The flagship Nothing smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
Recently, Nothing started rolling out the first Android 14 beta update for Nothing Phone (1). “This Android 14 build is still in the early development stage and some features may be missing or not working. It is better suited for developers and other advanced users, but not recommended for ordinary users. After you upgrade to Android 14 Beta, your phone storage will be formatted, and all your data will be erased. We recommend treating the beta with caution and backing up your information,” the company said.
