True Wireless earbuds have turned out to be an important device for modern users due to their size and portability functions. However, there are a lot of options available in the market and selecting a pair amongst them can become a tough job for most common users. The Nothing Ear (1) TWS earbuds were introduced by the company in 2021 and their “general sense of quality and polish” along with a “reasonable price tag” has helped them in gaining popularity in several regions.
According to a report by 9to5Google, instead of preparing a brand new successor, the company is set to launch a refreshed version of the Nothing Ear (1) earbuds which will include some minor changes. The company is expected to debut another product at the Nothing Phone (1) launch event scheduled for July 12.
The report mentions that the Nothing Ear (1) earbuds were spotted with a new “Stick” case on Twitter. The refreshed version seems to have an almost identical design with a few tweaks, the report claims.
Nothing Ear (1) “Stick” new changes
As per the report, the stem of the upcoming earbuds will now include two dots at the bottom, while the “Nothing Ear (1)” branding will also be replaced by “Ear (1) Stick.” Moreover, the refreshed version might also exclude silicone tips, which the report hasn’t confirmed but has mentioned to be a “notable change.” Apple followed a similar strategy with its AirPods to offer a more affordable price point. However, the more expensive AirPods Pro includes silicone ear tips and active noise cancellation.
Another notable change in the new version of Nothing Ear (1) was the case design. The original model featured a clear case that was square-shaped, whereas the new case is much slimmer and has a rectangular design, the report claims. Moreover, the thin and longer case seems to make it easier for users to slip it into their pockets which can come as an important advantage, the report mentions.
