Nokia G42 5G, company’s first repairable 5G smartphone launched – Times of India
The Nokia G42 comes with QuickFix repairability, allowing users to effortlessly replace cracked screens, damaged charging ports, and worn-out batteries themselves. iFixit provides affordable replacement parts and step-by-step repair guides, making the process of repairing the Nokia G42 convenient for users.
Nokia G42 5G comes with a price tag of 199 GBP (Rs 20,635) and it comes with the So Purple colour option. The smartphone will be available in the UK and other select regions starting today (June 29) via Nokia online stores. The company has not yet revealed any details about the India launch of the smartphone.

As mentioned above Nokia G42 5G comes with a QuickFix design and its rear panel is made from 65% recycled materials. The smartphone sports a 6.56-inch HD+ display with 720z1612 pixel resolution and offers 90Hz refresh rate. The display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
Nokia G42 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and 5GB of virtual RAM support. The smartphone packs 128GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 1TB by adding a microSD card.
The mid-range Nokia smartphone runs Android 13 operating system and the company has promised to offer up to 2 years of OS update to the smartphone. Nokia G42 5G features a triple rear camera with 50MP main camera, 2MP depth and 2MP macro camera. The smartphone houses an 8MP front shooter with night mode.
Nokia G42 5G comes with an IP52 rating which makes the smartphone water and dust-resistant. The smartphone is backed by a 5000 mAh battery with 20W fast charging support.
