Nick Jonas says he missed India as he returns after 5 years, fans tell him ‘ghar jamai ban jao’

Singer, actor Nick Jonas is making most of his time in Mumbai. On Saturday, he posted a selfie of himself in a printed kurta and talked about how much he has missed India. He lives in the US with wife Priyanka Chopra and their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. In the photo, Nick was seen posing on a balcony with the skyline of the city in the background. He wore a lime yellow coloured printed kurta and paired it with sunglasses. Sharing the photo, Nick wrote, “India… I’ve missed you.”

Soon after he posted the photo, fans began calling him the ‘national Jiju (brother-in-law) in the comment section. One of them wrote to him, “India has missed you too.” “love to see that you’re back in india!! hope you and the family enjoy your trip,” added another one. Someone also said, “Nick is more desi than the desis.” One more comment, “Ghar jmai bnja rhi rhli (Shift to India for good).”

This is Nick’s first visit to India after becoming a parent. Him and Priyanka welcome Malti, via surrogacy, last year in January. The couple happily posed with their daughter upon arrival as well. Earlier in the day, Priyanka had shared a glimpse of her view from a building and captioned it, “Oh how I missed this view.”

Nick and Priyanka on Friday attended the inauguration ceremony of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai. Priyanka had posted pictures of them from a photoshoot, featuring their avatars from the star-studded night.

Her pictures had Priyanka decked up in a sheer Elie Saab gown with a cape tied at the neck. Nick, on the other hand, wore a black suit paired with a T-shirt with lace detail on the neck. The first photo of the post starred Priyanka sitting on a stool with Nick standing by her side. The second picture showed them looking at each other while the third is a solo photograph of Priyanka posing with her hands in the pockets. The fourth one offered a glimpse of the show which also had a mention of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

The event was also attended by Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and many other celebrities from Bollywood and Hollywood.
