The first look poster of actor Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming yet-untitled Telugu film, which is currently dubbed NBK 108, was released on Wednesday on the occasion of Ugadi festival. Two posters were released with the tagline, ‘NBKLikeNeverBefore’. The project marks the maiden collaboration between Balakrishna and director Anil Ravipudi. Anil took to Twitter to share the first look posters. He wrote, “Here’s the First Look of Natasimham #NandamuriBalakrishna garu from #NBK108 #NBKLikeNeverBefore.”

The project also stars Kajal Aggarwal, who will be paired opposite Balakrishna while Sreeleela will be seen as his daughter. SS Thaman has been roped in to compose music. The makers are yet to reveal the rest of the cast and crew.

Balakrishna was last seen on screen in Telugu action-drama Veera Simha Reddy, which had released for Sankranti festival earlier this year. The film, which was a millionth iteration of the factionalism-based story of Rayalaseema, featured Balakrishna in dual roles of father and son and also co-starred Shruti Haasan and Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar.

During its theatrical run, the film had grossed over 100 crore at the box-office globally. It was the second 100 crore grossers in a row for Balakrishna after Akhanda.

In the film, it was not the story or the performances that really kept one invested. It’s the pure madness the action sequences brought to the big screen viewing experience along with SS Thaman’s electric background score that made Veera Simha Reddy likable to a large extent.

Talking about working with Balakrishna, director Gopichand Malineni had said in a pre-release media interaction that the film was his fanboy tribute to Balakrishna.

“I grew up watching his films and I’ve always wanted to showcase him a certain way. I was able to do that with this film. I portrayed Balakrishna garu as how I want to see him as a fan. I directed this film as a fan and that’s what I think will connect with audiences more than anything,” he said.

Meanwhile, Balakrishna recently made his OTT debut with his talk show, Unstoppable. He has already hosted two seasons and he managed to bring some of the biggest stars of Telugu cinema on the show and made them open up.
