Munawar Faruqui slammed for using Justin Bieber’s illness to make a political joke

Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui has landed in the soup yet again. In his latest joke, Munawar has used Justin Bieber’s illness to take a dig at the political scenario in India. Justin Bieber recently revealed that he had contracted Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which affected nerves in his ear and face and left the right side of his face paralysed.

The Lock Upp winner cracked a joke that reads, “Dear Justin Bieber, i can totally understand. Even here in india right side not working properly.” He posted it on social media with caption, “Oh I’ll be f***ed up if you cant be RIGHT here…”

Some of his fans were happy to see the comedian back in action. They wrote comments like, ‘

Apna purana munawar laut raha hai hai’, Purana wala Munawar’, but many Instagram users called him out for making fun of someone’s illness.

A user wrote, “Making jokes about someone’s illness just shows how jahil you are… It doesn’t make you funny”, another said, “Wtf?? What’s so funny about this, u think making a joke about somebody’s illness is funny?” a third user commented, “I am a fan, don’t use someone else’s pain and turn it into your pleasure in the name of comedy, it is actually not funny, be the creative content that we all know you can be, using someone’s heath condition is not creating content it’s just creating#kachra.#disappointed”.

Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber disclosed on Friday that he was diagnosed with a virus that left half of his face paralyzed and forced him to cancel some upcoming performances to focus on recovery. He took to Instagram to share a video where he spoke about the illness and why he cancelled some shows recently. Bieber said that he has developed a rare condition called the Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which has fully paralysed the right side of his face. “As you can see, this eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face… So there’s full paralysis on this side of my face,” he said.
