Multiple Assassin’s Creed games will be announced at Ubisoft Forward event: report

0

According to the reports, Ubisoft is expected to announce two mainline Assassin’s Creed games as well as a mobile game. The mainline games are codenamed Red and Hexe/Neo. Red is apparently set in Japan and it is being developed by Ubisoft Quebec. While Hexe/Neo is set in the Holy Roman Empire and it is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal. Both of these games will reportedly be part of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which is expected to be Ubisoft’s platform for upcoming Assassin’s Creed games. Both Red and Hexe/Neo aren’t expected to release before early 2024. Meanwhile, the Assassin’s Creed mobile game is apparently codenamed Jade and it could be set in China.

Ubisoft has confirmed that it will reveal Assassin’s Creed Mirage at the Ubisoft Forward event. The game is expected to be set in the Middle East including Baghdad and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Basim will be the protagonist. Mirage could be a much smaller game compared to the previous titles, and it may be more stealth-focused like older Assassin’s Creed games. The game was originally supposed to be an expansion for Valhalla but got turned into a standalone title sometime last year. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is also expected to get a post-launch DLC called The Forty Thieves Quest, which will most likely be based on the Arabic folk story of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. Ubisoft will reveal more details about Assassin’s Creed Mirage and other games during Ubisoft Forward on September 11 at 12:30 AM IST. Ubisoft Forward will be livestreamed on YouTube and Twitch.
