World Cup-winning captain MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi shared an ‘adorable’ picture in which the legendary skipper can be seen enjoying a cup of tea with his pet ‘Honey’.

As per reports, Dhoni is back in Ranchi after leading Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021 and mentoring the Indian cricket team at the T20 World Cup in the UAE. Sakshi captioned the picture, ‘“Mahi” and his “Honey”!’

Dhoni has had a packed and busy schedule as a CSK captain and a Team India mentor. He was busy making strategies, implementing them on the field and the pressure was too much, as well, to deliver the goods. Dhoni had a successful campaign in IPL 2021 as he led CSK to their fourth title, but during his mentorship, Team India failed to reach the knockout stage of the T20 World Cup stint in UAE.

India had an underwhelming campaign in the tournament, failing to make it past the Super 12 stage. While India were dominant against Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia in their last three games, they suffered heavy defeats to arch-rivals Pakistan and New Zealand in their first two matches.

This meant that while their net run rate was the best in their group at the end of the Super 12, they were two points behind second-placed New Zealand and finished third. The tournament marked the last time Kohli captained the Indian team in the shortest format of the game, with the 33-year-old announcing that he would be stepping down from the position after the World Cup before it started.
