According to the report, Microsoft has also started notifying users on Windows 11 and Windows 10 that they can now use Bing.com on Chrome. In addition to this, the company is also testing a native dark theme for Bing AI.
It is worth noting that the Bing AI support for Chrome and Safari is rolling out in a phased manner and it is expected to become available to all users in a couple of weeks or so.
With Bing AI support for Chrome and Safari, Microsoft is aiming to increase the user base of its search engine as well as the new Chat feature. For those who are unaware, Microsoft launched Bing AI with redesigned interface, updated features and more intuitive information earlier this year and it has been available for Windows users and Microsoft Edge users since February.
However, the user base of Edge is pretty limited and this move will most likely work in favour of Microsoft in expanding its reach.
Dark mode coming soon to Bing
Microsoft is also testing a native dark mode for Bing.com. The feature is live on Chrome and Safari as well and users who have access can now use Bing with dark theme. But, it is once again in the AB testing phase and may or may not be available for you.
In addition to this, Microsoft is also testing ‘no search’ on Bing, With ‘no search’ support Bing will become more of an AI model than a search engine model. This will become more like ChatGPT and will provide users with responses based on AI capabilities.
