On Monday, Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director at Xiaomi India hinted that the company could launch the Mi 11 Lite in the Indian market. However, there was no confirmation about it. Well, that changes today. In a new tweet earlier today, the Xiaomi head officially confirmed the Mi 11 Lite launch in India, though the launch date is still unknown. Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite India launch teased
Earlier today, Manu Kumar Jain posted a tweet confirming the Mi 11 Lite India launch. Although the Xiaomi head has not clearly revealed if the company will be bringing the 4G or 5G variant, past reports claims only the 4G model will be launching in India.
As you might know, the Mi 11 Lite has a thin waistline compared to most other smartphones in the market, while also having powerful hardware, and that is what Jain has highlighted in his tweet. The Mi 11 Lite launch date in India is yet to be revealed. We expect the brand to reveal the launch date soon as the phone is expected to go official in the country later this month.
Mi 11 Lite specifications
The Mi 11 Lite has a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a full-HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone has a 48MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, and 5MP macro cameras at the rear, and a 16MP camera at the front. The phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and IP53 dust and splash resistance.
The Mi 11 Lite 4G variant is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor, while the 5G model gets the Snapdragon 780G chipset. Internationally, the device is available in 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB configurations. On the software side of things, you get the Android 11 operating system with MIUI 12 customization. The phone has a 4,250mAh battery with 33W charging. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G/5G, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, NFC, infrared port, and a USB Type-C port.
