Meta: Meta Verified comes to India: How to subscribe, price and more – Times of India

Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta has now announced that its Meta Verified subscription model is now available in India. The development comes about five weeks after the company opened the waitlist in the country.
Announcing Meta Verified, Mark Zuckerberg wrote on his Instagram Channel, “Meta Verified is now available in India, the UK and Canada with Brazil coming soon.”
He also said that any previously verified accounts will maintain its status on Instagram and Facebook for free.
Meta Verified price in India
In March, the company said that Meta Verified in India is priced at Rs 599 per month if users subscribe through the web (Facebook only). On Android and iOS, subscribing to Meta Verified will cost users Rs 699 a month.

How to subscribe to Meta Verified
In order to qualify for a Meta Verified subscription, the company has laid down a few requirements that must be met. These include:
Users must have prior experience using Facebook or Instagram, with a few posts to show, must be at least 18 years of age, applicants must provide a government-issued ID displaying their name and photo which should match the name and photo on their Facebook/ Instagram account.

What Meta Verified offers
Just like Twitter Blue subscription, Meta verified also comes with a few advantages. Meta Verified “is about increasing authenticity and security across our services,” said Zuckerberg.
Apart from getting the Meta Verified badge, the company will protect verified users’ from impersonation. Additionally, subscribers will have access to real customer support instead of bots.
The company also claims that paying the monthly fees will increase the users’ content visibility and expand their reach. This means that users’ content will appear more frequently in people’s feeds, search results, and comments.
Subscribers will also get exclusive stickers on Stories and Reels across Facebook and Instagram, and where available, 100 Stars a month on Facebook to support other creators.
