Meet World’s Most Expensive Water Bottle: Acqua Di Cristallo, Priced At Rs 50 Lakhs

Water bottles are an indispensable item that most of us rely on daily, whether it’s a simple plastic or glass bottle or a fancier one that we use occasionally. While these are often sold at affordable prices, have you ever pondered the cost of the world’s most expensive water bottle? Meet the Acqua di Cristallo Tributo a Modigliani, which carries a jaw-dropping price tag of approximately Rs 50 lakhs. Although Acqua di Cristallo Tributo a Modigliani was recognized as the world’s most expensive water bottle by Guinness World Records in 2010, it has regained the spotlight as people become increasingly fascinated by its unique design and price. It can hold up to 750 ml of water. But what makes this bottle so expensive?
According to reports, the packaging of the bottle is made of solid 24-carat gold, and the water inside has 5 grams of 24-carat gold mixed in, which helps add alkalinity to the water. The water in this bottle is sourced from three different points on Earth – Fiji, France, and even the cold glaciers of Iceland.

An interesting fact about Acqua di Cristallo is that it is shaped more like a sculpture than a typical water bottle, designed by Fernando Altamirano. He also designed the world’s most expensive water bottle, which is filled with Henri IV Dudognon Heritage Cognac. One bottle of Acqua di Cristallo was reportedly sold at auction for over USD 60,000 on March 4, 2010.
