MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor launched, confirmed to debut with Redmi Note 13 Pro+
MediaTek has launched a new smartphone processor in China. It’s the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra, an octa-core processor built on the 4nm process. The new MediaTek processor is also confirmed to debut with the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ that is slated to release this month.
MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra specifications
- The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra is an octa-core processor equipped with 2x Cortex A715 cores clocked at 2.8GHz, and 6x Cortex 510 cores clocked at 2.0GHz.
- It comes with ARM Mali-G610 GPU for graphics, and the processor can support up to LPDDR5 RAM.
- The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra supports up to 200MP cameras, 4K video recording at 30fps, and FHD+ display with a maximum of 144Hz refresh rate.
- With this processor you also get a 5G modem, and the 5th gen MediaTek APU 650 for AI processing.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ to debut with MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra
Redmi announced on Weibo that its upcoming phone, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will launch with the Dimensity 7200 Ultra. It also highlighted the 200MP camera with a Samsung ISOCELL sensor for the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. This is tipped to be a 1/1.4-inch Samsung ISOCELL HPX sensor. The camera will offer improvements in processing, image clarity and digital zoom. Redmi also teased the launch saying “see you this month” but didn’t provide a specific date.
Redmi Note 13 series
The upcoming Redmi Note 13 series is expected to feature three phones in total – Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+. The top-end model in the series is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. As for the Redmi Note 13 and Note 13 Pro, these two phones are said to pack a 5,120mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
All three models are expected to feature triple rear cameras including an 8MP camera, and a 2MP lens. The Redmi Note 13 series is also expected to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Redmi Note 13 Pro is also tipped to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor.
