Medanta’s net rises 5-fold to Rs 101 crore in March quarter – ET HealthWorld
Mumbai: Global Health (Medanta) reported net profit of ₹101 crore net profit in Q4FY23, a year-on-year (YoY) jump of almost five times due to increase in bed capacity and higher in-patient footfalls. The company reported net profit of ₹17.5 crore in Q4FY22.
Revenue rose 37.3 per cent YoY to ₹732 crore. Medanta said it is the company’s highest ever quarterly revenue.
The earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and ammortisation (Ebitda) rose 108 per cent YoY to ₹192 crore.
The Ebitda margins expanded 890 YoY basis points to 26.2 per cent. Occupied bed days increased by 25.6 per cent YoY, representing an occupancy of 58 per cent on increased bed capacity.
The average revenue per occupied bed (ARPOB) increased by 7.5 per cent to ₹60,880 and average length of stay (ALOS) stood at 3.3 days. In-patient footfall rose 32.4 per cent to over 34,000 in Q4FY23 and out-patient footfall rose 25.5 per cent to 5.7 lakh.
