Separately, Rajesh Jejurikar, executive director, Auto & Farm Sectors at the Mahindra Group, also tweeted the interiors of the upcoming SUV which too look as futuristic as the concept prototype which was showcased back in August last year. Here’s a closer look.

Mahindra BE.05 exterior design

  • The spy images show that the production-spec model will inherit a cleaner look with smoother creases and slightly smaller wheel arches.
  • Interesting design features from the concept car have been carried forward which includes the aggressive front-end design with the C-shaped LED lighting signature as well as the bonnet vent to let the air flow seamlessly.
  • The back-end design also closely resembles the show car and thus continues to wrap around connected LED tail lights and a sporty-looking spoiler at the top of the rear windscreen.
  • Mahindra seems to have dropped the prototype’s camera-based rear view monitor and has instead moved onto a more conventional ORVM design.
  • This EV is also unlikely to wear Mahindra’s new Twin Peaks logo and will replace it with the “BE” logo which will establish and link it to the company’s upcoming EV lineup’s brand identity.

Mahindra BE.05 interior design

  • Rajesh Jejurikar, executive director, Auto & Farm Sectors at the Mahindra Group has tweeted a new image which partially reveals the interiors of the upcoming Mahindra BE.05 electric SUV.
  • The black-and-white image was shot in Mahindra’s testing ground in Chennai where the vehicle is being readied for its market launch.
  • At a glance, one can compare and notice that Mahindra has lived up to the promise of continuing majorly with the design as was seen on the concept model last year.
  • The wrap-around console design has been carried forward and the EV continues with its driver-focused design cues.
  • The twin display instrument panel is not present on the test mule. A single driver-oriented MID housed in a full-size display panel can be seen. However, it is possible that Mahindra could be testing out the twin display unit and could eventually make it to the production car.
  • The EV is also likely to get the slim and stylish concealed AC vent design as well as a fabric pull strap.
  • The test car also seems to be sporting a conventional steering wheel possibly lifted out of the new Mahindra XUV700 or the Mahindra Scorpio N. The concept car has a flat-bottom twin-spoke steering wheel. The steering wheel could be added back sometime during the developmental phase of the EV.
