Madhav Sheth who is presently working as the vice president and president of Realme has announced that he is accepting a new global role as vice president for business and corporate strategy (global) for Realme.
Recently, it was reported that Sheth may step down as Realme India’s head. The report further added that the Chinese smartphone maker is planning to bring in a top Chinese executive to look after the India business of the company.
Sheth took to Twitter to announce his new job role. He tweeted,”Exciting news! I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve accepted a new role as VP for Business and Corporate Strategy (Global). Excited to take this opportunity and contribute to the company’s success.”

The company has not yet revealed who will run Realme’s India business. However, rumours suggest Realme is set to make the India announcement as soon as possible.
Presently, the reasons for Sheth’s resignation is not clear, but industry sources suggest that the Chinese smartphone maker has been facing some legal challenges related to its distributors in different states. Recently, almost 22 area distributors of Realme in Maharashtra filed an FIR against Eagle Electronics India Private Ltd and its directors, alleging a fraud of Rs 60 to 70 crores for not sending stocks of smartphones. The distributors said that the company took advance payments and the goods were not delivered.
Meanwhile, Realme recently launched its budget smartphone Realme C55 in India. The smartphone comes in three variants and its price starts at Rs 10,999. The smartphone will be available online on Flipkart and Realme.in starting March 28.
