Let’s start the week with a dose of motivation. Courtesy: MA English Chaiwali. Confused? Brigadier Sanjay Khanna has shared his encounter with a “smart English-speaking woman”, who is running a small chai stall on wheels, called Raydee. And her story is proof that ‘no job is small or big’ and nothing should stop individuals from dreaming big. Running the tea stall at Delhi Cantt’s Gopinath Bazar, Sharmistha Ghosh is a postgraduate in English literature. Her vision is to make it as big as ‘Chaayos’, the famous tea chain. In a long post on Linkedin, Brigadier Khanna said, “A few days ago I happened to be in Delhi Cantt’s Gopinath Bazar and desired to have tea. I was amazed and pleasantly surprised to see a smart English-speaking woman operating this small chai stall on wheels (popularly called Raydee ).”

Sharmistha’s fluent English made him curious so he walked up to her stall to enquire about her whereabouts and the reason behind running the stall. He added, “Sharmistha Ghosh, is a postgraduate in English literature. She worked in the British Council Library too until she quit the job to pursue her dream.”

Well, Sharmistha is not alone in this tea stall business. She has support from her friend, Bhavna Rao, who is working with a European airline and is also a joint partner in her tea stall. Brigadier Khanna added, “Further, as of now, she’s providing extra wages to her house help as she has employed her at the chai stall. They come together in the evening and operate from the small temporary kind of structure and go back.”

Brigadier Khanna, who took Sharmistha’s permission for posting this picture, wrote, “I feel that there is nothing to be called a low/small job and such people must be highlighted to motivate others. One must have the passion and integrity to work towards their dream to make it come true.”

I too will try to spot her in Gopinath Bazar soon if her area of operation remains the same. Thanks for sharing this Brigadier Sanjay Khanna,” a user wrote.
