Low-cost carrier Breeze Airways will add seven nonstop routes and one one-stop route from New York’s Westchester County Airport over the summer and fall months, including direct service to the West Coast, the company announced Wednesday.

The new routes will include service to Los Angeles, beginning Sept. 7, and San Francisco, beginning Nov. 2. The carrier claims current flights out of Westchester do not go further than Chicago.

Additional nonstop routes from Westchester include daily service to Charleston, S.C., starting June 28; Norfolk, Va., five times weekly starting June 30; Jacksonville, Fla., three days a week starting June 30; daily Las Vegas service starting Sept. 8; twice-weekly service to Savannah, Ga., starting Sept. 9. The one-stop route is to New Orleans via Jacksonville three times weekly starting June 30, and with two additional weekly flights via Savannah starting Sept. 9.

Additionally, Breeze plans twice-weekly Hartford-Las Vegas service starting Sept. 7.

Breeze will operate the flights between Westchester and each Charleston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco on new Airbus A220 aircraft, configured with 36 First Class seats, 10 Extra Legroom seats and 80 Standard Economy seats, according to the company. Breeze has ordered 80 new Airbus A220-300 aircraft with options for 40 more, which are slated to be delivered one per month for six years. Later deliveries will offer 12 First Class seats, 45 Extra Legroom seats and 80 Standard Economy seats.

All seats on Breeze’s Airbus fleet are fitted with in-seat AC power and USB/C ports. The company will offer Viasat for in-flight connectivity on the A220 beginning in October 2022.
