Lava has launched the Agni 2 5G smartphone in India at ₹19,999 (after bank offers). It is a Made in India phone that packs several country and industry-first features. It is the first smartphone in India with MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset. You get support for 13 5G bands which makes Agni 2 really 5G ready. It also comes with stock Android with 3 years of support which again makes it a unique offering in the market.

5 Lava Agni 2 features

1. Lava Agni 2 runs with the recently launched MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor. It is based on a 6nm manufacturing process and carries two performance cores with 2.6 GHz clock speed and six efficiency cores running at 2.0 GHz frequency. 

You also get the third-gen 2900mm² Vapour Chamber cooling technology for heat dissipation. 

2. The software offered is vanilla Android 13 with “no bloatware, no ads, no unwanted notifications” and a promise of Android 14 and Android 15 updates along with quarterly security patches for 3 years.

3. Agni 2 has also got the segment’s first 1.0-micron (1 um) pixel sensor in its 50MP primary camera. This should be capable of capturing more light and as a result more details. The rest of the cameras are an 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth shooter. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie snapper.

4. The phone comes with an FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED that sports 1 billion colours, 950 nits of brightness, and HDR10+ support. In the mix of things, there is a 3.5mm jack, an under-display fingerprint reader, an X-axis linear vibration motor, and a 4700mAh battery with 66W charging support.

5. Lava Agni 2 also boasts a “Free Replacement at Home” facility during the warranty period in case of hardware issues with the device. You will be assisted by an “Agni Mitra”.

Agni 2 5G will be available from May 24 at 12 PM via Amazon. There is only an 8+256GB variant priced at ₹21,999. However, as part of a launch offer, you can get a flat ₹2000 discount with leading bank credit and debit cards.
