Koontz Earns Mid-South Conference Wrestler of The Week Honors

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Joe Koontz  is the Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.

Joe Koontz – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Sr. – 174 pounds – Akron, Ohio

• Koontz wrestled up to 184 and went 2-0 at the Campbellsville duals.
• He recorded a pin against Brewton-Parker’s (Ga.) Charles Henkel.
• Koontz then picked up an 8-2 decision over Lourdes’ (Ohio) William Speight (No. 17 at 184 pounds).
• He earns weekly honors for the first time this season and in his career.
