Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan box office day 7 collection: Salman Khan’s film could cross ₹100 crore this weekend
Salman Khan’s mass entertainer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan continues to struggle at the box office in its first week. The big-budget film with a huge ensemble cast, recorded a drop of about 20 percent on Thursday. It seems like the film will take a few more days to enter the ₹100 crore club. It has earned less than ₹3.5 crore on Thursday. Also read: Salman Khan says those who should have called ‘jaan’ also call him ‘bhai’ now
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is directed by Farhad Samji. It stars Salman Khan opposite Pooja Hegde alongside Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, Jassi Gill, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Shehnaaz Gill, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh and Palak Tiwari in key roles. It also comes with a special cameo of Salman’s Maine Pyar Kiya co-star Bhagyashree alongside Abdu Rozik’s guest appearance in the film. Ram Charan also joins Salman in a song.
According to a Boxofficeindia.com report, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has shown a further downward trend on Thursday. With a collection of ₹3-3.5 crore reportedly on Thursday, the film has so far earned around ₹85 crore. It would be interesting to see if the film attracts the audience to the theatres at the second weekend to bring some relief to the makers.
The film opened to mixed reviews from critics and viewers. The Hindustan Times review of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan called it a ‘no-brains family entertainer’ and a ‘cringe-binge hatewatch.’ The film is high on action, drama and emotion but with ‘no sense, no logic, no story’ as per the report.
The film marked Bigg Boss fame Shehnaaz Gill and actor Shweta Tiwari’s daughter Palak Tiwari’s entry in Bollywood. It is produced by Salman Khan Films. The film hit the theatres ahead of Eid on April 21 and made a business of ₹15.81 crore at the ticket window as per film trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The film’s worldwide opening weekend was predicted to be approximately ₹110 crores as per a Sacnik report.
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan marks Salman’s full-fledged theatrical release on Eid after four years. He was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan in a cameo.
