Kathleen Barone Joins Crescent Hotels & Resorts as Vice President of Global Sales

Crescent Hotels & Resorts, the award-winning hotel management company headquartered in Fairfax, VA and Toronto, ON announced today the appointment of Kathleen Barone as Vice President of Global Sales. An accomplished sales leader, Barone brings more than 25 years of hotel sales and revenue management experience to the company and its portfolio of over 100 hotels and resorts in the United States and Canada.

In her new role, Barone will further develop sales from a global perspective and will serve as the direct report for both regional and national sales employees within the organization. She will also ensure leadership aligns for success in motivating and inspiring team members to optimal performance. As one of the few elite management companies approved to operate upper-upscale and luxury hotels under the brand families of Marriott, Hilton, IHG and Hyatt, Crescent also operates a collection of independent and lifestyle hotels and resorts called Latitudes: Lifestyles by Crescent.

With over 25 years of progressive hospitality experience, Kathleen brings diverse leadership abilities and community engagement to Crescent Hotels & Resorts. Her experience shows a proven track record in executing tactical, analytical, and strategic sales and has made her a well-rounded and motivated professional.

Kathleen was most recently a Senior Account Executive at Marriott International in Pittsburgh, PA, where she consistently exceeded goals and expertly managed some of of Marriott’s Top Global Accounts with results generating annual combined YOY spend increases of 10%-20%. She was the recipient of Marriott’s prestigious President’s award for outstanding sales for three consecutive years. Prior to the role with Marriott, Barone was responsible for the Sales and Marketing initiatives of the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott Hotel where she received Marriott’s Global and Eastern Region Director of Sales and Marketing award.

Barone studied Criminal Justice at Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree.
