Kamal R Khan, also known as KRK, taken to hospital over chest pain complaints hours after arrest
Actor and controversial film critic Kamal Rashid Khan was brought to Shatabdi Hospital in the Kandivali area of Mumbai on Tuesday evening after he complained of having chest pain.
Khan, also known as KRK was arrested by the Malad Police in Mumbai late Monday night over one of his controversial tweets that he posted in 2020. He was apprehended at the Mumbai airport after he arrived from Dubai.
A court then remanded him in judicial custody for 14 days.
His lawyer said Khan was arrested for tweets against Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and a film producer over the film “Laxmi Bomb”.
A look-out circular too had been issued against him, a police officer said.

Police said Ayush approached the contract killer, Harishankar Kumar through his friend and allegedly agreed to pay Rs 5 lakh.

West Bengal reports highest domestic violence cases by husband, in-laws : NCRB
West Bengal reported the highest number of cases of cruelty against women by spouses or their relatives in 2021, according to the latest report of the National Crime Records Bureau. West Bengal was followed by Uttar Pradesh where 18,375 such cases were recorded, and Rajasthan where 16,949 cases were registered. Goa was at the bottom of the table, recording only one such case of domestic violence. Nagaland recorded two such cases and Sikkim recorded three.

2020 tweets: Actor-producer Kamaal R Khan arrested upon arrival from Dubai
Bollywood actor-producer Mohammed Rashid Mohammed Iqbal Kamaal, also known as Kamaal R Khan, was arrested after Khan’s landed at the city airport from Dubai a little past midnight on Monday in connection with an FIR registered over his controversial tweets in 2020. Social activist Rahul Kanal had claimed that Khan had deliberately posted the comments with an intention to create communal tension and disturb public tranquillity. He was formally placed under arrest at 12.22 am on Tuesday.

Mumbai The Bombay high court (HC) on Tuesday refused to grant relief to a developer who allegedly constructed a building on a plot reserved for a playground in Khar. When the developer insisted on lifting the stay on construction activity, the bench remarked that the construction would face the consequences of the Supertech twin towers at Noida which were demolished on August 28 following a Supreme Court verdict.

August records 183 cases of swine flu
Mumbai At 183, the city continues to report more laboratory-confirmed swine flu (H1N1) cases in August than last year, when only 18 cases were reported in the month of August, showed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation report. Till date, the city has reported 292 cases this year as against 64 in 2021 and 44 in 2020. BMC has issued an advisory for citizens including following hand and cough hygiene, and avoiding crowded places.
