Jio True 5G launches in 11 more cities: These are the names – Times of India

Reliance Jio launched 5G services in 11 cities, the largest multi-state rollout of 5G services till date, on Wednesday (December 28). The 5G services have been launched in Lucknow, Trivandrum, Mysuru, Nashik, Aurangabad, Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur, Kharar and Derabassi. Jio says that it is the first (and only) telecom giant to launch 5G services in these cities.
Just like in other areas, Jio users in these 11 cities will now be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer, by which they can experience Unlimited Data at up to 1Gbps+ speeds, at no additional cost. It is to be noted that the Reliance Jio Welcome offer is available on a postpaid connection and prepaid plan of Rs 239 or higher.

Largest 5G rollout in India
“We are proud to roll out Jio True 5G in these 11 cities and make it one of our largest launches since we started rolling out True 5G services. This is a tribute to the millions of Jio users in these cities who will now commence 2023 by enjoying the transformational benefits of Jio True 5G technology,” a Jio Spokesperson said in a statement.
While some of these cities are important from a tourism point-of-view, a few others are key education hubs of the country. Jio 5G services will offer growth opportunities in the areas of e-governance, education, automation, Artificial Intelligence, gaming, healthcare, agriculture, IT, and SMEs, the telecom giant explained.

“We are grateful to the Chandigarh Administration, State Governments of Punjab, Haryana, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh for their continuous support in our quest to digitise the region,” the Jio spokesperson added.
Jio 5G services in other states
Earlier this week, Jio launched its 5G services in Andhra Pradesh in Tirumala, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Guntur. The company invested over Rs 6,500 crores in deploying the 5G network in the state. Reliance Jio True 5G is already available in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Nathdwara and in all 33 district headquarters of Gujarat.
