(Reuters) – JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ:) has made an offer to buy Spirit Airlines (NYSE:) on Tuesday, a U.S. government official said, potentially holding up merger plans of Frontier Group Holdings and Spirit.
JetBlue has offered about $3.6 billion, the New York Times reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter said.
