Iphone: iPhone 16 may look like iPhone 12, tipped to get vertically aligned cameras – Times of India
Apple likely to change iPhone 16 camera layout
Apple integrated diagonally aligned cameras to the iPhone series, while the Pro variants featured a similar triple camera setup with a slight bump. However, it is still unknown why Apple decided to switch the camera layout. It is said that it could be likely due to the arrangement of the internal components, especially when Apple unveiled the iPhone 13 mini.
As per CADs seen by 9to5Mac, iPhone 16 Pro Max is likely to feature a larger 6.9-inch display which is slightly higher than the current 6.7-inch display.
Analysts Ming-Chi Kuo and Ross Young have corroborated this report. The analysts also believe that iPhone 16 Pro could get a 6.3-inch display which will be an upgrade from the 6.1-inch display, allowing Apple to place a periscope lens on both Pro models. Rumours are rife that only iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature the new lens for better optical zoom this year.
Meanwhile, Apple is gearing up for the launch of the new iPhone 15 series later this year. Similar to the iPhone 14 series, launched in 2022, the iPhone 15 series is also said to have four models, iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
While it is to rely on such prototypes, Apple can still add a lot of changes, before the final product arrives in the market.
