iPhone 14 price tipped, may start at the iPhone 13 price: specifications, launch

iPhone 14 price leaked

According to a new leak by a Korean website Naver, the iPhone 14 will be priced at $799 (around Rs 63,000) for the base variant with 128GB storage. The report suggests that even though the ongoing price increase and supply chain instability has affected the market, Apple has decided to freeze the launch price of the iPhone 14 base variant to be $799 in order to combat stagnant demand.

Those who got their hopes immediately high in India, however, need to be made aware that Apple usually does not launch its iPhones in the country by merely converting USD into INR, and if history is anything to go by, we can expect the US pricing to be multiplied by 100 for India. After all, the $799 iPhone 13 was launched in India for Rs 79,900. In any case, it appears that the iPhone 14 will also be priced around the Rs 80,000 mark in India. We may also expect a slight bump in the iPhone 14 India price, as the rupee has weakened significantly.

Specifications (expected)

The iPhone 14 is said to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will most likely come powered by the brand’s in-house Apple A15 Bionic processor used in the current iPhone 13 models. Apple, however, might make some performance upgrades to the SoC. Only the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will receive a chip upgrade in the form of the A16 Bionic chipset.

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will reportedly retain the much-dreaded notch at the top for Face ID sensors and the selfie camera. Speaking of, the iPhone 14 is said to feature a 12MP dual rear camera setup and a 12MP front camera. Lastly, we can expect the iPhone 14 to boot iOS 16 (stable) out of the box.
