Investec Property Fund co-CEO Darryl Mayers resigns
Investec Property Fund CEO Darryl Mayers will step down as joint CEO of the fund from the end of November 2022. Mayers will also step down from the board of directors.
Joint CEO Andrew Wooler – who has been in the position since 2018 – will continue as sole CEO, starting in December.
Investec Property Fund owns several retail, office, industrial and mixed-use developments in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, including Copperleaf Golf Estate in Centurion as well as the Toyota Distribution Centre in Kempton Park.

“This leadership transition comes at a time when the fund’s operating business, portfolio of local and international assets and its balance sheet are in a strong position after the challenges faced by the property sector over the last two years,” the fund said in a statement.
“The manager and the board thank Darryl for his dedication and contribution to delivering on the strategic objectives of the fund, as well as the time and effort spent imparting his knowledge and skills to all his colleagues.”
Mayers will however, stay on in an advisory capacity, where he will focus on developments, retailer engagement and acquisition activity, the fund said.
“The board is pleased that Darryl’s wealth of real estate expertise will continue to be available to the fund in his new advisory role.”
