What are the three essential items in your wardrobe? Tiny miniskirts, white-ribbed singlets and an oversized black blazer.

Any go-to jewellery? Most of my jewellery is by Millie Savage. I have six rings and wear as many as I can, a necklace with my name on it and some greenstone love-heart earrings.

Can you remember a favourite item of clothing from when you were a child? A Roxy boob tube. I lived on the Gold Coast.

What was your first fashion moment? I’m not really a designer bag girlie – I spend all my money on property and furniture – but a few years ago I bought two Jacquemus “Le Chiquito” bags – one black, one white – and that was really exciting. I still wear them all the time, they’re my everyday bags.

And your worst fashion mistake? There have been many. The thing I cringe most about is the Hervé Legér era, clubbing at 19 in a knock-off bandage dress and platform heels.

What’s top of your fashion wish list? Helsa’s “The Nova” gown.

Is there something you would never wear? Anything with shoulder pads.

Is there a current trend you like? I don’t even know what they are. Micro trends are so fast and out of control.

What shoes do you wear most often? Either my black Alexander McQueen “Tread Strapped” sandals or a pair of Anine Bing “Tania” knee-high cowboy boots.

What do you wear to bed? I sleep in the nude.

Who’s your favourite fashion icon? Fran Fine from The Nanny. I bought a dress from Area recently and I’m living my Fran Fine dreams.

What do you wear on a typical working day? When I’m on the radio or arriving for hair, make-up and wardrobe for TV, it’s an oversized vintage tee and tracksuit shorts; basically, pyjamas. If I’m filming an Australian Made radio segment or podcast, it’s usually a miniskirt, corset top, blazer and boots.

What’s your favourite off-duty, casual Sunday look? Activewear – I live in Bondi. I’ll be with my dog, Walter, in mini shorts and a tiny crop top, so I can get as much vitamin D as possible, and a puffer.

Abbie Chatfield is the host of FBOY Island Australia, streaming now on Binge.
