Huawei, the Chinese tech giant, is gearing up to launch an exciting array of wearables and discuss its future wearable endeavors on September 14. While the company recently unveiled the Mate 60 and Mate 60 Pro smartphones, they kept us guessing about their wearables. The wait is finally over as Huawei has announced a dedicated product launch event focused solely on wearables.
Huawei Watch GT 4 Debut Expected
Huawei Mobile took to its official X account to share the exciting news about the upcoming product launch event scheduled for September 14 in Barcelona. The launch poster boldly states “Wearable Strategy and New Product Launch,” leaving no doubt that this event will revolve around wearables. This signifies not only the introduction of a new smartwatch but also the revelation of Huawei’s vision for future wearable technologies.
The event announcement also includes hashtags “#FashionForward” and “#HuaweiHealth” along with teaser images hinting at new wearables. It’s quite possible that Huawei will showcase fresh smartwatch designs, watch faces, and perhaps delve into new health and fitness-related features.
What to Expect from Huawei Watch GT 4
While the exact models set to debut at the event remain shrouded in mystery, speculations are abound. Earlier this year, several Huawei smartwatches appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification website. Notably, the Huawei Watch GT 4, with model numbers PNX-B19 and ARA-B19, made an appearance. These smartwatches are expected to feature Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and run on HarmonyOS 4.0 with firmware version 4.0.0.50 (SP1C00M00). However, detailed specifications and features are yet to be unveiled.
The Watch GT 4 will follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, the Watch GT 3. The previous model was available in 42mm and 46mm size options, featuring a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. It boasted 32MB of RAM, 4GB of onboard storage, Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, and a 455mAh battery with wireless charging support.
