How to become a better investor

0

I receive numerous emails from the Moneyweb community every week, with readers asking for tips and advice on creating wealth and leaving a financial legacy for their loved ones.

In many cases, community members ask for my opinion on get-rich-quick schemes or other precarious investment opportunities.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a silver bullet to ensure investment success.

The only answer is for people to start investing as early as possible and to build a diversified asset portfolio that consistently beats inflation. As we all know, this is not an easy thing to do.

With this in mind, Moneyweb initiated a series of ‘Better Investor’ conferences earlier this year, to assist community members in formulating better investment strategies and avoiding typical investment mistakes.

The second Better Investor Conference kicks off tomorrow (Tuesday), at 9 am. There are six sessions wherein top local investment minds will share their knowledge and experiences to assist investors in formulating sound strategies to ensure future wealth creation.

The conference will focus on various critical elements of a successful investment portfolio. They range from the basics, such as how to construct a portfolio, to which investment structure to use, their tax implications and investing offshore for returns and residency benefits.

More information about the sessions is available here.

The conference is free, but you need to register (here). You can then listen to the panels and conversations from anywhere in the world.

The sessions will be livestreamed on Moneyweb.co.za, the Moneyweb App, and the Moneyweb YouTube channel.

Don’t miss the event, as it will offer many insights into becoming a better investor.
