Honor confirms making its Indian debut soon; Honor 90 series to make the splash – Smartprix Bytes
Ex-Realme CEO Madhav Sheth boasted about his presence in Honor India’s massive debut this year. Cut to now, it is now official as Honor Tech India has confirmed its entry into the Indian smartphone market. It will make its debut with Honor 90 series as its first device releasing after three years of exile from the country.
Honor discontinued its operations in India after it was banned along with Huawei in 2020. Later, Honor got separated from Huawei with PSAV Global acting as its official distributor in India selling Honor products including laptops, tablets, and wearables. With the latest announcement, Honor smartphones will make their official entry in India with PSAV handling the retail and distribution.
Both Honor and Madhav Sheth have boasted about the smartphone giant making its entry in India. For the unversed, Madhav Sheth is the ex-CEO of Realme India who left the company earlier this year to explore new avenues. The excitement is real as Honor 90 series is likely to make its debut as the first device in the country.
Honor 90 Series Specifications
The honor 90 series comprises Honor 90 and 90 Pro launched in China back in May 2023. Both the devices had a 6.7” quad-curved OLED panel boasting a 120Hz refresh rate along with Dynamic Dimming technology. The vanilla Honor 90 sports a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC while the Pro gets a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood.
Both Honor 90 and 90 Pro are packed with a 200MP primary snapper complemented with a 12MP ultra-wide snapper. There’s a 2MP depth snapper on the vanilla variant while the Pro picks up 32MP telephoto totaling it’s triple rear camera setup. Both the models have a 50MP selfie shooter while Pro picks up an additional 2MP cam as well.
Moving on, we have a 5000mAh battery on the duo paired alongside 66W fast charging on the Honor 90 while 90 Pro does a bit better at 90W. The duo runs on Android 13-powered MagicOS 7.1 in China although it remains to be seen what the Indian duo will have in store for us.
