Hindi: Google updates Bard with new features: Support for Hindi, other languages and more – Times of India
A couple of months after introducing Bard — its generative AI-based assistant — Google has announced a handful of new features. In a blog post, the company said that Bard is now available in most countries and in widely spoken languages.
Talk to Bard in Hindi
In the blog post, Google revealed that users can now interact with Bard in over 40 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, German, Hindi and Spanish. Furthermore, Bard is also now available in Brazil and across Europe. “As we bring Bard to more regions and languages over time, we’ll continue to use our AI principles as a guide, incorporate user feedback, and take steps to protect people’s privacy and data,” said Jack Krawczyk, product lead, Bard.
Listen to Bard
Google believes that sometimes hearing something out loud can help you approach your idea in a different way. “That’s why, starting today, you can listen to Bard’s responses,” noted Krawczyk. This will be handy if one wants to know the correct pronunciation of a word or listen to a poem or script. Simply enter a prompt and select the sound icon to hear Bard’s answers. This feature is now live in over 40 languages.
More answer options
Users can now change the tonality and style of Bard’s responses. There will be five different options to choose from —simple, long, short, professional or casual. This feature is live in English and will expand to new languages soon, as per Google.
Images come to Bard
Google had promised to integrate Google Lens into Bard and the feature is now live. Users can now upload images with prompts and Bard will analyze the photo to help. This feature is now live in English and is expected to come in other languages soon.
Users can also now share part or all of their Bard chat with their friends, family and others.
