Elon Musk, after assuming control of Twitter, has implemented numerous modifications to the functionality of certain features on the microblogging platform. The platform recently allowed the Twitter Blue users to upload a 2-hour long video on Twitter. However, now in a new tweet, Musk has acknowledged that the application consumes a significant amount of storage space on users’ phones. He went as far as apologising to the users for this inconvenience.
In a tweet, Musk shared a screenshot displaying the storage allocation on his phone. He highlighted that the application occupied approximately 9.52 GB of storage, while other apps like Whatsapp and Discord consumed 1.3 GB and 2 GB respectively. Interestingly, PornHub was utilizing 11 GB on the device. Musk expressed his apologies, stating, “Sorry this app takes up so much space.”

Twitter DMs are now encrypted
In a recent announcement, Elon Musk revealed that Twitter Blue users now have access to encrypted Direct Messages (DMs).
This exclusive feature offered by Twitter ensures the privacy and security of user communications. However, it’s important to note that the encryption function is not enabled by default. Users must opt-in to activate it. Additionally, access to encrypted DMs is currently limited to verified accounts, including businesses, government officials, and Twitter Blue subscribers. This measure aims to provide a higher level of confidentiality for specific user groups on the platform.
